Each coaster was rolled out and impressed with a hand made crocheted lace doily before being individually cut. The imprint left by the doily was then filled with a matte white glaze. The iron in the red clay body adds a tinge of color in parts of the glaze that gives the doily an antique finish. Every set comes with 4 coasters.
